JWB Day by Day
Received a copy this weekend -
I have wanted a copy of this for years. Art had originally made a small "run" on his own years ago and there were not that many which went around. We're so lucky to be able to finally own a copy of this -- I only wish Art was here to see it..... It's fabulous! Make sure you don't miss this one - it's a MUST for any assassination library! RE: JWB Day by Day
I think the last paragraph of the Preface summarizes so well the thoughts we have about Booth. It's too long to type in here (at the moment for me). It starts off: "John Wilkes Booth was loved by his family and had hosts of friends."
Like Betty said- "a must-read." Bill Nash |

RE: JWB Day by Day
Very nice article, Bill! Like you, "I especially enjoy the book because it gives the dates and locations of Booth’s theatrical performances around the country" - so fascinating!! And what many hours he spent traveling on trains! Also I was amazed that he so often played Karl de Moor in Schiller's "Robbers", once even with "The Mercant of Venice" as afterpiece. What a combination! I wonder if both were staged unabridged - as both plays last way over two hours? I totally agree - the book is on the whole a "must-have"!

RE: JWB Day by Day
Ditto! Bill is a real sharp guy. It was a real pleasure to meet and get to know him (and his wife) last year on our trip to Springfield.
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
