RE: Digging at Huckleberry
What are some of the artifacts? Anything that would pertain to our time period? I am certainly not expecting anything that can be linked to Booth.

RE: Digging at Huckleberry
Rest my case. I remember well an amateur in the 1970s who convinced the hometown newspaper that he had found the remnants of Booth and Herold's CAMP SITE in the Zekiah Swamp - complete with a Campbell's soup can. Unfortunately, though the label was gone, modern cans have their bottoms attached completely differently than those of earlier centuries.
By period pieces, do they seem qualified enough to distinguish 1830 glass and china from 1890 glass and china? Maybe they found a golden horseshoe that Thomas Jones's horse threw as the fugitives were waiting for him to come out of his house and take them to the boat??? I know - I apologize for being catty... |
