I know that I have been a little late on my Monday "Food for Thought" exercises with the forum, but here is the one that I have for everyone.

Do you think Abraham Lincoln would have Facebook or Twitter account? Why or Why Not? Explain your answers?

I think Mary would have both.

IMO, Mr Lincoln would see some of the value in communicating that Facebook offers.
Mary would like it for the social interaction.

Probably he would say: "I call these accounts my public-opinion baths".
Since today all politicians and parties canvass this way he might have to do it, too. But I could imagine he would share Karl Lagerfeld's (director of the fashion house Chanel) attitude:" My only luxury is I myself have no mobile phone or internet. My secretaries do all this for me." (But he possesses 230,000 books!) I would think Nicolay and Hay would have to be in charge of all this.
I admid, I've never even checked any facebook or twitter site nor do I have a facebook account. Am I the only one?

Lincoln would have used both. He was a master at using the media to his benefit and loved new technology.

I have neither but I do enjoy buying on-line. Mary would have had a grand time shopping!

I don't do either one of these social sites (although I DO do LinkedIn) - I only have a Facebook account to get onto John and Barry's Inside the Walls site..... personally, I HATE Facebook.....

Like many here- I don't do the social media thing. I maintain my Lincoln blog- AbesBlogCabin.org (shameless plug)- but that's about as close to it as I come. I do think Lincoln would be totally into the social media, however.
