It was Benjamin who recognized Bulloch's (Pres. Teddy Roosevelt's uncle) offer to serve the Confederacy and sent him to England where he set up operations and conducted business that we've all seen links to.

That's all I know about it and as has been said before, the Confederate secret line left few clues. Hopefully Bill Richter will know more and will chime in here.
