Research on Angel's Glow?
Hi friends,
I wondered if anyone out there, especially the doctors among you, are familiar with any contemporary research into the phenomenon referred to as Angel's Glow that happened at the Battle of Shiloh. The story of Angel's Glow is associated with the Battle of Shiloh during the Civil War where soldiers' wounds would glow and these glowing wounds would heal faster. In 2001, students at a science fair showed that this phenomenon could have happened using Photorhabdus luminescens. After much searching, I could not find any record of Angel's Glow before 2001, so the story is unverified. I did check the Surratt Courier index and was surprised to see this was never the topic of an article over its entire history. Thank you for your wonderful insights, Colleen Puterbaugh |
