Laurie, I bet they did! When I was a kid, there was a Maryland Fried Chicken place we used to stop at somewhere between New Orleans and Pensacola, on the way to the family farm.

I thought the food was better than what was sold at Kentucky Fried Chicken, as it was then called, but I couldn't say what the difference was between them.

I love most any kind of fried chicken!
