Thank you, Laurie. When I worked on Capitol Hill, I learned that no one (including the Army) enjoyed having to explain their actions to to Congress, especially when a constituent's interests was concerned. That is why I thought that if the Army had to explain to Virginia Senator Mark Warner why the Garrett Farm site had been suddenly closed to the public, and what the Army's plans for the site were, they might be willing to open it in the future. I will keep in contact with Senator Warner and trust that he will continue to keep in contact with the Army. This site it too important to be permanently closed to the public.
