That is still slow for first-class mail.

I live in Des Moines, IA and received the March 2016 edition of the Surratt Courier in the mail today.

RE: Surratt Courier - Jim Woodall - 02-25-2016 09:31 PM

The Courier arrived today, February 25th, out in Mesa, Arizona, the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

Thanks y'all. This gives me ammunition to use at my own post office. I have not received my March issue yet...

Mine arrived yesterday!

RE: Surratt Courier - Susan Higginbotham - 02-27-2016 08:46 AM

Mine came yesterday. Enjoyed Kathy's article and the piece about Hetty Cary--I hadn't realized she was from Baltimore.

RE: Surratt Courier - Anita - 02-27-2016 07:53 PM

Mine just arrived in SoCal. Yes!

RE: Surratt Courier - Eva Elisabeth - 02-29-2016 02:27 PM

Have not rec'd mine yet! Hopefully, it awaits me in the mailbox when I get home. I feel a protest movement coming on...

Finally, the yellow pages were in my mailbox. I will now proceed with fussing using y'all's cities and states only as my documentation as to why it took my newsletter ten days to go about twenty miles via first class mail. We mail a thousand of these each month at 49 cents each. That's a chunk of change that the USPS is making off of us.

I'm glad you received your copy.
Let me know next month if you are still having a problem and if you would like me to email you my copy.

Male problems huh? That reminds me of a song

As is always the case the Surratt Courier includes fascinating reading. This month's articles have information on the history of Surratt House, slave revolts that took place not too far from Surrattsville (Clinton), and a story of slaves attempting to escape aboard a ship named the Pearl. Kudos to Laurie and Joan on their articles!

Got my Courier on Saturday. I think Laurie has mail problems and not male problems, Gene.

Mine came Saturday - looks great!
