Billy Hipkins (Author/Performer) was not asked back to the second year at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts as an actor, was not invited into the BMI Advanced Workshop as a lyricist, never worked under an AEA Production or First National Tour Contract, could never pull off a double pirouette, was never cast as the MC in “Cabaret”, and most recently had his script rejected by the 2012 Fringe NYC Festival…all of which led to this piece. And he couldn’t be more grateful. Actor, author, director, choreographer, costumer, often Also-ran, and now solo performer, with the help and support of Perry Dell’Aquila, Billy is proud to present this personal, moving, and quite funny work about how we all soldier on when life doesn’t turn out exactly as we’d dreamed it would. |
