Dr Samuel Mudd at Red Lobster

Dr Mudd is perhaps the last character in the assassination drama who can still get people charged up.

I was at Red Lobster for lunch today with a friend of mine and the subject came up (don't ask me how) and I ended up being treated to a 30 minute lecture on Dr. Mudd's imcomparable morals and ethics as a doctor and as a paragon of a family man. I couldn't supress a smirk as my friend took to punctuating his points by waving a garlic biscuit in my direction. Towards the tail-end of the argument the portly gentleman in the booth next to ours asked the waiter to be reseated away from us and closer to the exit.

I can imagine the scene....was this person a Mudd descendant? Just curious. I sometimes get riled up about Lew Powell, but I don't think I've ever waved a garlic biscuit at anyone!

My friend is actually very well read on the assassination ---the only book he refuses to read though is the Steers book on Mudd.

Went to Red Lobster with my wife yesterday. No mud pie offered. They do serve a chocolate pie-not that we had any!
