Moving to a different war for one brief moment: I don't know about the rest of the U.S., but here in the Washington-Baltimore region, the War of 1812 is getting a lot of attention. In my usual lunchtime perusal of what's happening in the world according to the internet, I just found this interesting article on an upcoming auction of a letter sent to Paris by Napoleon as he was licking his wounds on the outskirts of Moscow.
