December 12th the US Mint unveiled its designs for the 2026 Semiquincentennial circulating coin program. To celebrate America's 250th anniversary, the Mint will be updating well-known American coinage, such as the circulating dime, nickel, and quarter, as well as the collectible penny, and half dollar. Other popular Mint products will feature special privy marks, dual dates, and design changes, as well.ca celebrates it's 250th

Thanks for posting that link Anita

Can't say I'm to pleased with the coin designs.

The Mayflower Compact Quarter - After 400 years in America can you please use the English language. You may have to enlarge the image, but from the look on their faces, either they are still seasick from the ride over or their not to happy to be here. And will the Fashion Police please do something about his hat.

The Revolutionary Quarter - George Washington's looks angry or his dinner didn't agree with him.

US Constitution Quarter - Reminds me of a Haunted House where in the portrait of the owner, his eyes follow you throughout the room. Creepy.

Enduring Liberty Half Dollar - Is that Pinocchio or does Lady Liberty need a nose job?

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

I suggest the coinage of many countries could be criticised and, as a foreigner, maybe I shouldn't..... but ....
The Constitution quarter .... It's 3.50 am here and deathly quiet. Those eyes are terrifying.
The Mayflower : the couple "embracing" , really? Looks more like the old "Don’t worry Honey, I'm a man and I've got this under control ". Also whose hand is that on the woman’s left shoulder!!!
Lady Liberty? Nose? She looks like she's going to be in trouble if she pokes it at anything, that long point will get stuck.
Anyway now I know what a privy mark is. Nothing to do with an unmaintained outside toilet.

Is king o' men for a' that” Robert Burns

I also was disappointed in the Quarter designs for many of the reasons described by Gene and Michael.

What about the Gettysburg Address Quarter with Lincoln on the obverse? (It's the same portrait used on 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial commemorative silver dollar celebrating his 200th birthday). The reverse bears the inscription "a new nation conceived in liberty", from President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. The two hands grasping each other symbolize Lincoln’s efforts to keep the Nation together.
