Jonathan H. Mann 1961-2023
I have sad news for Abraham Lincoln collectors. Jonathan Mann, the publisher and co-founder of the newsletter "The Rail Splitter ", has died after being attacked by a deranged homeless man. railsplitter.com

Woman Suffrage Association circa 1910. It has pictures of four men and four women with pithy quotes on the topic. Lincoln is pictured on the back cover. Despite an endorsement by such an icon as Lincoln, women did not get the vote until 1919. The Lincoln quotation reads: "I go for all sharing the privileges of government who assist in bearing its burdens, by no means excepting women." RE: Jonathan H. Mann 1961-2023
This is horrible news. I spoke to Jonathan several times on the phone years ago. He was always friendly and a great help. He told me the Railsplitter was basically a labor of love. The auction catalogs alone were worth signing up for. He was a plethora of Lincoln relic knowledge. Rest in peace.
