Joseph Booth younger brother of John Wilkes, was said to be a Doctor. Queston is did have that degree or was he like some surgeons and doctors of that time just practicing without any crdentials?
John, in Kimmel's The Mad Booths of Maryland it says he received a medical degree from New York University in 1889. Afterwards "he became attending physician at the Northern Dispensary in Christopher Street, intermittently lecturing on surgery at various institutions in the city."
