Mr. Taltavul
I just have to ask - I notice that our newest member is Peter Taltavul. Since I know that "our" Peter Taltavul of Lincoln assassination history passed on years ago, I have to ask if there is a relationship or special tie with our new member?

The Surratt Courier carried a bit of biographical information on Taltavul a year or so ago. It was interesting to see his background and achievements.

Hi Laurie,

I was excited to receive RN's invitation to be a part of the discussion group. I was going to use my real name as a nick, but decided to choose one that would reflect the events of April 1865. In my younger days I was known to occasionally tip a few adult beverages in the local bar - saloon. I thought of the Star Saloon and then Peter Taltavul. I chose the later as my nick .

Pleased to meet you and thanks for the question.

Never type before morning coffee. I meant to say "latter" not later.
