Museum auction
I know this isn't related to Lincoln history but I'd thought I'd share this story about a New Mexico museum auction following its closure:
http://www.lcsun-news.com/story/news/loc...740410001/ I don't know if anybody here is also a Western history enthusiast as well, but here's a link to the auction site if they'd be interested in bidding for cheap Victorian-era antiques: [edit 5 Nov: removed no longer working auction link which has since concluded] Here's a link to an article that has more context and information about the late Old Fort Sumner Museum: https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2169 |

RE: Museum auction
I've been out of the Norton loop for a little while, and now playing catch up. Unfortunate that we are losing museums, small and large. Some of the small museums and historical societies have real gems. They give you a reason to stop and take in a little local history.
