2017 Lincoln Colloquium
Information about the 2017 Lincoln Colloquium been released (finally).

It is hosted by the Chicago History Museum and will take place on October 21, 2017. Schedule as follows:

9:30 AM: Christopher Schnell —“There will still be business enough”: The Social Context of Practicing Law in Lincoln’s Midwest
10:30 AM: Guy Fraker—Images of Lincoln’s Eighth Judicial Circuit
11:30 AM: Thomas Campbell—Abraham Lincoln’s Acceptance of Slavery, 1837-60
12:30 PM: Lunch
1:30 PM: John Lupton—Super Lawyer or Country Bumpkin: Deconstructing Lincoln the Lawyer Mythology
2:30 PM: Brian Dirck—Abraham Lincoln: The Trial Lawyer as President
3:30-4:30 PM: Panel Discussion—What is next in scholarship on Lincoln’s legal career?
$50, 40 CHM & ALA members
Lunch is included in ticket price

Thanks for posting this, Scott. I grew up about 3 blocks from Tom Campbell, and we went to the same grade school and high school together. We've had some contact since those days. Tom has authored at least one book.
