Civil War Artwork
I did this piece of artwork last week. Not sure why I did it, but I love snowy scenes and the art speaks for itself, I hope. This particular style of digital art is called Photomanipulation and involves several layers producing a whole image.

Wow, I like it.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

I'm having some real trouble posting other stuff as it won't let me use the attachment link at the bottom of the page. There's some pretty impressive artwork out there.

The soldier is supposed to be a ghost, but I don't think I've made him transparent enough. Somebody looked at this and said...I don't get it! I'm like...er, OK. You probably never will!

Below is some more artwork I've found. Not mine. But I liked it.

Beautifully colourised by Micah Carey.

Maddie -

These are wonderful! I love doing this type of art myself. I play around with it also. Here is one I did of Powell returning to the Surratt House. I also turned it into a poster-type illustration.

Here's another I made - Meeting of Booth and the Conspirators at Gautiers

Being a "computer dyslexic" (and happy when I manage to deal with basic functions) I cannot put my degree of being impressed into words! Very cool, Maddie and Betty!

I'm loving both of those. I did this rather cheesy one ages ago. It was fun to do, even if is it complete whimsy.

I rather like snowy scenes. I think this is a painting.

Scarlett. A composite of several layers. Scarlett. Swans. Background. Lake lilies. Mist. Reeds.

RE: Civil War Artwork
Thanks to all who posted the creative civil war art. It's very stimulating to see familiar scenes taken to a new level.

I got a kick out of this "vintage doodling on portrait of Breckinridge, Hon. John C. Senator from Ky. General in CSA It’s a scan from an original negative in the library of congress archives." http://thatjonjackson.com/tag/vintage/
