Hi Scott. It was just on the weekend. But they do have one remaining event:

Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. American actor Richard Frederick "Fritz" Klein will make a one time appearance at the B&O Railroad Museum--one of the National Park Service's "funeral" stops commemorating the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln's Funeral Train and the return of his body to Springfield, Illinois in 1865. This one hour, first person interpretation of Lincoln by Mr. Klein is free of charge to the public.

Thomas, My wife and I were down in Baltimore last year for a ball game at the brickyard. Anyway we were looking for places to go and so being into model trains as I am we also went to the B&O Museum. What a great place. I myself thought it was even better than the Museum in Lancaster PA. Unfortunately Lincoln's funeral train was not there at the time of our visit. Would have loved to have seen the whole exhibit. We also went to Green Mount cemetery and checked out Booths grave site.

I agree. The JFK funeral, which was closely patterned on Lincoln's, lasted over a three day weekend and was viewed by millions worldwide via TV satellite.

But Lincoln's State funeral was twenty days..and that isn't even counting the East Room ceremony and the lying in State at the Capitol Rotunda. There is no way to ever know how many millions viewed Abraham Lincoln in the various cities where he lay in State or simply stood along the railroad tracks all day and night for three weeks.

I went when I was 10. I was so excited to be at the Lincoln Tomb. Ask me about riding the Tilt A Whirl at the IL State fair after eating a corn dog.

I went when I was 10. I was so excited to be at the Lincoln Tomb. Ask me about riding the Tilt A Whirl at the IL State fair after eating a corn dog.

If you had the same experience on a Tilt A Twirl as I did after drinking a grape soda, I think I know what you are going to say... They had to stop the ride to let me off. Luckily, I had an understanding date at the time.

I neither know what a corn dog is nor a Tilt A Twirl, but just from reading I am sure I never want to experience the latter, with or without the corn dog. I would be more than fine with just seeing the Lincoln Tomb and Home.

Eva, corn dogs are a popular amusement park food here in the US. They are quite delicious as long as the batter is fried to a deep golden brown and is not burnt and tough, and the franks are of good quality. I love to dip mine in mustard, but I don't eat them often because they are not exactly healthy for you.

My tilt a whirl days ended after I turned forty!
