RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Good morning!

One of the things that Tarbell was often called on to do was to speak on Lincoln. There was, however, one topic she would never discuss. What was that topic?

I don't think Google will help, but feel free to use it.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
All are logical guesses, but incorrect. I can't think of anyone who today would consider the topic controversial.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Again Gene, that's a good guess, but not correct.

What she refused to talk about had nothing to do with anything that Lincoln may or may not have done during his lifetime.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Gentlemen, all are excellent guesses, but incorrect.

In addition to speeches, she was often asked this by newspaper reporters at the time of Lincoln's birthday. She said it was the wrong question.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Sorry Roger, but that isn't correct.

This wasn't about something that happened in Lincoln's life. It was more of a philosophical question about Lincoln.

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Good guess, Mike, but that's not it.

Think about something that someone might want to know about Lincoln, but doesn't involve his biographical details.
