When Kate told me that there was an error in transcription for David Herold's poem in American Brutus, I was very surprised. She then had me look at the poem and read it. I read it through and found she was 100% right! Her transcription makes far more sense and, once again, demonstrates that Davy was an eloquent young man.

Great work Kate. As they say, the devil is in the details, and you did a great job going back to the original source and finding a mistake hiding in plain sight for almost a century and a half. I have to say, if I would have tried to transcribe the poem, I would probably made the same mistake.
