Ferguson (restaurant/saloon owner) testified at the conspiracy trial (source: Poore):  "The President, at the time he was shot, was sitting in this position: he was leaning his hand on the rail, and was looking down at a person in the orchestra,—not looking on the stage. 					It begs the question: was Lincoln observed looking towards the orchestra- which also could have been in the same direction as looking towards the main floor seating area.
