Dr. Wayne Temple
In the process of trying to find some information on the River Queen steamboat for a member of this forum, I stumbled on an interview with Dr. Wayne Temple. We have mentioned many Lincoln authors on this forum, but I don't remember much mention of Dr. Temple. You might find some of his thoughts on Lincoln during this interview interesting.

Another great Wayne Temple book is BY SQUARES AND COMPASS THE BUILDING OF LINCOLN'S HOME which also chronicles all the renters after Lincoln's time.

RE: Dr. Wayne Temple
"Doc," as he is affectionately known, sent me a copy of the article he had written on James Randall, and provided me some information on Carl Sandburg. He and I spoke for a short time at the Conference on Illinois History on both Randall and Sandburg before I presented my article on the two. He is a valuable resource and even at the age of 90, his mind remains sharp.

Best
Rob

Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom.

I want the respect of intelligent men, but I will choose for myself the intelligent.
