LINCOLN THE DEMOCRAT

There was a small controversy created yesterday about a sign on a building at Northeastern University in Chicago.
I think the person who wrote the fourth comment on the attached site has it correct. I, personally, am sure that DEMOCRAT really means democrat, not Democrat.
In fact, look at the word spacing on the bottom line of type. I suspect that someone has erased a comma after LINCOLN.
