Well, the problem with Southernization on the international level is that the guide on the link above doesn't mention how to gracefully handle your hoop skirt and hold the parasol against the storm at 50℉.

If the wind is blowing, there is no graceful way to handle one's hoop skirt! Otherwise, put down the parasol and find a bumbershoot (umbrella) to shield you from the storm. Better yet, stay inside and sit by the fire -- but not too close in case a stray ember should hop off the hearth and catch your voluminous skirts on fire...
