Those familiar with the Booth escape route know that Booth and Herold crossed over the Navy Yard Bridge into what is now Anacostia (then known as Uniontown), hung a left onto Good Hope Road (then known as Harrison Street), and climbed a long hill. At the top of that hill was where Good Hope Tavern sat. There's a chicken joint there now.
