Thanks, Kerry and Eva. I guess Matheny was closer to Lincoln than I previously thought.

Am I correct, however, that he is the sole source of the "Browne interruption" story? Did anyone else who was present at the wedding say that Browne impatiently blurted out an interruption during the ceremony?

Katherine Helm talks about the wedding in her book but says nothing about Browne.
