I guess not.

Just finished this book and it's pretty good.
Well Documented source notes. Several with the top 3 from: William Tidwell and James Hall - Come Retribution, Michael Schein - John Surratt: The Lincoln Assassin Who Got Away, and Edward Steers - Blood On The Moon. Many other sources documented.

The author does a very good job of weaving all these sources into a very readable account of Surratt and other contributors to Lincoln's kidnapping attempts and assassination, as well as Booth's escape. In addition, while the evidence is less obvious, the Confederate gov' (mainly Judah Benjamin) involvement in all of this is also explained.

Surratt's trial is discussed with details on how poorly the prosecution presented their case.

The summary at the end of the book was a bit disappointing for me, however there is a lot of information to summarize.

This is a must read for those of you interested in Lincoln's assassination.

So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?
