RE: Wayne Calhoun Temple 1924-2025
Sad news. "Doc" was definitely one of a kind and knew a great deal about Lincoln. He was a big help to me when I was writing my article about Carl Sandburg and James G. Randall. He was likely the last living graduate student of Randalls. He told me that Ruth Randall was very angry with him for telling Sandburg how sick Randall was, although it led to a heartfelt last meeting between the two.
Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell
I want the respect of intelligent men, but I will choose for myself the intelligent. --Carl Sandburg
