The Surratt Courier

Well, we are a little late (but we are volunteers!) and the November/December issue of The Surratt Courier is now posted at https://www.surrattmuseum.org/_files/ugd...b96c02.pdf

The announcements are that the annual meeting of the Surratt Society is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. EDT. There will be a brief business meeting, followed by two presentations. The meeting is open to all; HOWEVER, you will need to register in advance. Details on the speakers and registration will follow.

The Surratt Society also needs a volunteer to serve as Treasure on its Executive Committee.

In the November/December issue are articles by Philip Van Doren Stern on Lincoln's Christmas pardons; Jefferson Davis' 1864 Christmas; and Dennis Urban on the Lincoln conspirators. (Thank you, Dennis!)
