RE: Journal of the Lincoln Assassination
It appears that Frederick Hatch, the author of the Journal of the Lincoln Assassination and several books on the subject, passed away last year on May 7, 2024. For many years, Fred was also a docent at the Dr. Samuel A. Mudd House Museum. I remember bringing bus tours to the Mudd house and having Fred as one of our guides. My friend Bob Bowser at the Mudd House Museum realized that he hadn't heard from Fred in some time and did a quick search. All Bob could scrounge up was a single-sentence obituary from the Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf. This is the same funeral home that took care of Laurie Verge's funeral a few years back: https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituari...h-11824702
From FindaGrave, it appears that Fred was buried in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Prince George's County, Maryland: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/2712...ck-j-hatch

Fred was a diligent researcher and a respected author. I'm sorry to learn of his passing, especially at such a late date. I know that folks at the Mudd house would have attended his funeral services had they known about it. He gave them many great years.
