I wonder if the folks there are quite concerned with the provenance as the Mütter Museum does hold a fragment from John Wilkes Booth's autopsy (tissue possibly cleaned off the cervical vertebrae) in a bottle. I would think the museum would be interested in a "companion piece" if it thought the item was legitimate. No matter what, it's an interesting story.
