RE: Springfield Tour
Good News & sorry for the short notice.
We will be having a Springfield Tour this Oct 20-23. Definitely on the schedule, which is being worked on, will be a trip to New Salem, a visits to the two grave sites of Ann Rutledge (and other people who Lincoln knew well), Books on the Square and Prairie Archives - two bookstores in downtown Springfield. But wait, there's more. We have plans to attend the Lincoln Legacy Series (we've never attended this before) on Saturday at 6PM. https://www.facebook.com/events/43490791..._tab=about But wait, there's more We'll walk through the Lincoln neighborhood, visit his home, the Lincoln Museum, and one of my favorites, the Lincoln depot and unfinished mural. No trip would be complete without a visit to the Cozy Dog Drive In. Had the drive in been there in the 1850's, it surely would have been a family favorite of the Lincolns. https://www.cozydogdrivein.com/ See previous posts here to get an idea of the other places we visit, as well as the informative, exciting, inspiring experiences you will have. Plus you'll have a good time. More details to follow. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
