Lights and Shadows Of Army Life
Written by William Lyle, an army chaplain. This book was published in 1865.
I was reading a different book, and this one was referenced. I have only skimmed a few pages, but it is very interesting. Thought some of you might be interested. Some sections are very encouraging, but some sections are heart breaking, like this one from pages 58-61 that describes a seriously injured soldier.
