This link will take you to a very interesting essay on a day that the NPS is commemorating as the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first enslaved African Americans to Point Comfort and then on to the Jamestown settlement. Good historical research has previously pointed out that the arrival was much earlier than the Jamestown one.
