A peek inside the Grants' Burlington home

I am just finishing my first cup of coffee this morning so I may be incorrect...wasn't Grant informed about the assassination when his train stopped in Philly? I thought he turned around and went back to DC? But maybe he did escort Julia to Burlington.
BTW I visited this house (did not knock on the door) a few years ago. It sits just a few blocks from the downtown, main street that has train tracks running down the middle. Pretty convenient for travel back then.
