Based upon the photo of the tomb stone, I would guess this is not the original one.
I'd like to go back to Springfield in October, but the wife has some schedule conflicts.

The findagrave site gives the history of Donnegan as the victim of the Springfield Riot in 1908. Donnegan was in an unmarked grave until 1995, when efforts were made to recognize the victims of the Riot.
