RE: Lincoln and his cane?
Dave Taylor recently posted on his BoothieBarn site a well-researched opinion that the Lincoln cane/walking stick on display at the Lincoln Museum in Harrogate is not as advertised. This sent me online where I found an interesting semi-cane attributed to Lincoln's ownership that is in the Henry Ford Museum, but not on public display. I tried to get a download of the photo and brief description, but I'm not that talented.
Perhaps Roger can go to this link and work his magic. It's called the Emancipation Cane because of its unique carvings and is attributed to the 1861-63 time period. https://www.thehenryford.org/collections...rd/135624/ |
