Lincoln speech on the Bible?

I tried reading The Christian's Defence.

I did not get far; I am afraid my powers of concentration are simply not up to the task. It's really hard for me to picture Lincoln doing anything more than browsing through the book, if that. It's near impossible for me to imagine he was greatly influenced by it.

Maybe Lincoln went out and bought the Cliff Notes version?
