Maybe because I'm an outdoor and nature person, but in Gettysburg touched me much more than Ford's, and on the cemetery I could "feel" Abraham Lincoln speaking. The lacking flocks and business of fellow tourists on a quiet day in March probably have added to that as I felt the same solemnity at the Soldiers' Home and the Memorial, the latter not being frequented due to a snow storm.
