Grant and Sherman: The Friendship That Won the Civil War

I finished the book the other day. I enjoyed it very much. Most of my Civil-War Era reading is, frankly, about Lincoln, so I am accustomed to viewing the war, so to speak, from the standpoint of Lincoln and Stanton and Halleck, with Grant and Sherman on the periphery. It was refreshing to see the story told from Grant's and Sherman's standpoint, with Lincoln and Stanton and Halleck on the periphery.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the book! I've been completely Civil War focused lately - mainly Gettysburg, since I'm probably going there in October. I'm trying to learn as much about it as I can.
