Wow! What is the source of this information?

Jean Baker, in her Mary Lincoln biography, wrote:

"Female abolitionists and suffragists gained no respect from her; she believed them unwomanly creatures. She had no interest in obtaining the vote, intending instead to influence her husband."

That's the problem - statements made in books with no source footnotes as Eva Elisabeth as Gene C pointed out.
