I agree with you about Team of Rivals. How did you like the book on Sherman?

I very much enjoyed "Fierce Patriot". It is one of the best biographies I've ever read. O'Connell writes it very similar to a novel and he really brings General Sherman to life. He also puts his own sense of humour into the writing, and there was many times I was laughing out loud. Sherman was quite the guy! I found it a very human portrayal of a man who was a very complex. I highly recommend reading it. It's a book I want to read again.

My favourite part was the account of the March to the Sea - it was brilliantly written.
