First, I am glad to see Ed honored for his work in the world of Lincoln studies. As just one of a number of people who has benefitted from Ed's kindness and support, I think the honor is long overdue. You are a true inspiration for those of us in the field, Ed.
If I can, however, pick just one nit on the story....I didn't know Lincoln was shot on November 18 (copy editing in newspapers is dead in America). Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell
