The Guard: a review by Thomas Kearney
Today I attended The Guard at Ford's Theater and was amazed. The story focuses on an openly gay art museum manager who is juggling his day at work by showing a new employee around and talking to a female painter about loss, her suffering the loss of her grandmother, he is about to lose his partner to Stage 4 Cancer. The play also sheds light on Rembrandt's family life and the struggles Homer faced after he lost his wife. I thought it was a good portrayal of how some folks look at life. I give it 4/4 stars! I would recommend you go see it. Thomas Kearney, Professional Photobomber. |
