No. To his credit, Mr. Kaplan is very fair and balanced about this question on his website he provided the answer there - he considered the same question and made efforts to conduct research to find answers. He discusses this issue and puts forth a scenario that has some plausibility as to when and where, if it was Lincoln, the image may have been taken (he posits Louisville, KY while on a trip with Joshua Speed in late August/September 1841). There are dissenting opinions on his theory (one based on a chemical study of the image) and he includes those opinions on his website.
