I read an article today in our local newspaper that the paintings will remain on permanent display at the hotel near the White House. The hotel is starting a partnership with Ford's Theatre and the Newseum to mark the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's death. They are even holding a contest to give away a weekend get-away in a room where Lincoln stayed. The Newseum is planning a 2015 exhibit chronicling Lincoln's death and the hunt for his assassin.

The Newseum has already obtained permission from Surratt House to use our photos of Mrs. Surratt and Dr. Mudd. They are reproducing newspaper accounts of the event.
