Scott, he was buried in a small Presbyterian cemetery just south of Blunt, SD. A wooden slab was placed on his grave which said "The Teacher of Abraham Lincoln." His remains lay there for nearly a half century. In 1933 his granddaughter, Mary (who was a teacher herself), had the remains returned to Illinois. Joe Di Cola posted a photo of his gravestone yesterday.
