She has written over 400 books, mainly biography's for children.
Odds are, when in grade school, you or your children have probably read at least one of her books. Many are still in print and widely read today, including here work on Abraham Lincoln.

If you click on the image of the book, you will see the original copyright date of 1932. The book cover and illustrations may have changed over the years, but the story is much the same. A pretty amazing lady.
