RE: Happy Birthday!
in the February 11, 2014 online version of USA Today there's an article titled, "Celebrate Lincoln's Birthday with Brain Teasers." See http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/natio...a/5404249/
The article lists three of "President's Lincoln's most powerful quotes": "Whenever I hear anyone arguing for slavery, I feel a strong impulse to see it tried on him personally." "If you want to test a man's character, give him power." "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be." Just wondering . . . so I thought I'd ask the experts (you): Are the above quotations correctly attributed to AL? Thanks! |
